  • Does It Hurt?

    Pain is really relative. Everyone has a different pain tolerance. However, we are not going to joke with you - it really hurts. Just not much. Some compare it to the "feeling of a hot scratch". But people wont come back for tattoo after tattoo if it hurts that much. Most of us dont get hurt, but the beauty of the tattoo and the pride that comes with wearing it far outweighs the pin stick here and there.How about using some kind of anesthetic cream? Such products are really not recommended.

  • How Much Is It Going to Cost?

    When it comes to tattoos, you get what you pay for. Yes, there are many people who get tattoos for a very small fee. But look for quality and be prepared to pay for it. Never bargain over the price of a tattoo. This is disrespectful to the artist. Think of it this way: its a work of art that youll wear for the rest of your life.

  • Should I Tip My Tattoo Artist?

    Tipping is a very nice gesture. But there are no real hard and fast rules for tipping.

  • What Should I Get? And Where?

    Its all a matter of personal taste. You can get whatever you want and whatever your artist is willing to do. You can choose a painting from the wall or have them create a custom piece just for you. The only limit is your own imagination. As for where you should do it, just keep in mind what you do at work and what social circle you are in. You may want to place your tattoo somewhere where it can be easily hidden by regular clothing.

  • What Is the Best Time of Year to Get a Tattoo?

    While you can get a tattoo at any time of the year, your skin is much more exposed in the summer due to swimming, sunbathing, and just more exposure to the elements. Winter time is really the best time for a tattoo.

  • Is It OK to Get a Tattoo if Im Sick?

    Getting a tattoo when your immune system isnt at 100% isnt the best idea. Youll need your strength and white blood cells to heal the tattoo, and your body wont be able to do that if its already fighting viruses and bacteria. Not to mention, its very imprudent to bring your disease into a tattoo studio and risk passing germs on to others, especially your artist. If you have an appointment, call and reschedule until you feel well again.

  • Where Can I Find Pictures of Tattoos?

    If youre getting a tattoo, especially as an expression of your personality, why would you want the same tattoo as someone else? Instead, find other images of what youre looking for and let your artist draw a custom design for you. Example: If you want to get a tattoo of a penguin standing on a glacier, find real photos of penguins and glaciers. If you want a blue rose tattoo wrapped around a cross, find images of real roses and crosses that you like. If the images dont show exactly what you want, just take them to your artist to use as a guide and tell them what changes you want to make to the original images. A true artist will gladly accept the challenge of creating an individual work.

Wait , what do they teach you in the studio being an apprentice? they make u work n clean their dirty stuff for more than a year without any pay and what do you learn? To Set up work stations and some basic stuff ? Do you just wanna do that ? so instead just book your course at London academy of tattoo and get you self going straight away … I recommend 1000% to book the course if ull looking forward to get into tattooing then rather wasting ur time being an apprentice in an studio..

Buddy and Sabrina are veterans in the tattoo and piercing industry and they have shared every valuable piece of information to help us succeed. The course was in depth and everything we were taught is to a very high professional standard in both tattoo technique and hygiene practices. They were so welcoming and helpful, they're also both hilarious. I had the best 2 weeks!

They also made it really fun and we laughed a lot! The only negative thing about this course is that it does end after the 2 weeks and you will miss it!

Went through alot more than just different piercings, including infection control, licence, equipment, insurances, suppliers, aftercare etc. The tutors are very relaxed, friendly, knowledgable and on hand to assist or answer queries. As its an intensive course mid morning we were straight into practicing and got to pierce a real body part on day2! Professional certificate at the end of day2!

It was such a relaxed learning environment and Sabrina was a fantastic teacher, offering so much support throughout the course and after. Got to meet a really lovely group of people as we all set out on the same path.. can’t wait to see all of us prosper and would totally recommend this course to anyone looking to pursue a career as a body piercer and although I haven’t done the tattoo course if it was ever something I was interested in I would definitely be straight back to see Sabrina and Buddy at the London Tattoo Acadamy. I wanted and was planning to take the course for 2 years now, and finally I did. I had some experience background it tattooing, but I needed it so I can exceed my basic skill. Sabrina and Buddy were amazing teachers, and even though the course was only two weeks, I learned a lot of new things, techniques proper maintenance. They showed my where my flaws and mistakes were, and explained me how the process should be properly done, with the right tools, techniques etc. They was so positive, and welcoming, and it's sad it was only two weeks. Wait , what do they teach you in the studio being an apprentice? they make u work n clean their dirty stuff for more than a year without any pay and what do you learn? To Set up work stations and some basic stuff ? Do you just wanna do that ? so instead just book your course at London academy of tattoo and get you self going straight away … I recommend 1000% to book the course if ull looking forward to get into tattooing then rather wasting ur time being an apprentice in an studio..

Buddy and Sabrina are veterans in the tattoo and piercing industry and they have shared every valuable piece of information to help us succeed. The course was in depth and everything we were taught is to a very high professional standard in both tattoo technique and hygiene practices. They were so welcoming and helpful, they're also both hilarious. I had the best 2 weeks!

This course is fantastic! It is a practical course- the best way to learn! I was truly inspired by the instructors, Buddy and Sabrina, who are wonderful people. They share so much valuable information and knowledge about all aspects of the tattoo industry and take extra care that each person gets the most out of this course- no matter if they have tattooed in the past or have never held a tattoo machine before. They also made it really fun and we laughed a lot! The only negative thing about this course is that it does end after the 2 weeks and you will miss it!

This course is just what i needed to help me set up and give me the confidence to start a new business venture. Went through alot more than just different piercings, including infection control, licence, equipment, insurances, suppliers, aftercare etc. The tutors are very relaxed, friendly, knowledgable and on hand to assist or answer queries. As its an intensive course mid morning we were straight into practicing and got to pierce a real body part on day2! Professional certificate at the end of day2!
