  • Does It Hurt?

    Pain is really relative. Everyone has a different pain tolerance. However, we are not going to joke with you - it really hurts. Just not much. Some compare it to the "feeling of a hot scratch". But people wont come back for tattoo after tattoo if it hurts that much. Most of us dont get hurt, but the beauty of the tattoo and the pride that comes with wearing it far outweighs the pin stick here and there.How about using some kind of anesthetic cream? Such products are really not recommended.

  • How Much Is It Going to Cost?

    When it comes to tattoos, you get what you pay for. Yes, there are many people who get tattoos for a very small fee. But look for quality and be prepared to pay for it. Never bargain over the price of a tattoo. This is disrespectful to the artist. Think of it this way: its a work of art that youll wear for the rest of your life.

  • Should I Tip My Tattoo Artist?

    Tipping is a very nice gesture. But there are no real hard and fast rules for tipping.

  • What Should I Get? And Where?

    Its all a matter of personal taste. You can get whatever you want and whatever your artist is willing to do. You can choose a painting from the wall or have them create a custom piece just for you. The only limit is your own imagination. As for where you should do it, just keep in mind what you do at work and what social circle you are in. You may want to place your tattoo somewhere where it can be easily hidden by regular clothing.

  • What Is the Best Time of Year to Get a Tattoo?

    While you can get a tattoo at any time of the year, your skin is much more exposed in the summer due to swimming, sunbathing, and just more exposure to the elements. Winter time is really the best time for a tattoo.

  • Is It OK to Get a Tattoo if Im Sick?

    Getting a tattoo when your immune system isnt at 100% isnt the best idea. Youll need your strength and white blood cells to heal the tattoo, and your body wont be able to do that if its already fighting viruses and bacteria. Not to mention, its very imprudent to bring your disease into a tattoo studio and risk passing germs on to others, especially your artist. If you have an appointment, call and reschedule until you feel well again.

  • Where Can I Find Pictures of Tattoos?

    If youre getting a tattoo, especially as an expression of your personality, why would you want the same tattoo as someone else? Instead, find other images of what youre looking for and let your artist draw a custom design for you. Example: If you want to get a tattoo of a penguin standing on a glacier, find real photos of penguins and glaciers. If you want a blue rose tattoo wrapped around a cross, find images of real roses and crosses that you like. If the images dont show exactly what you want, just take them to your artist to use as a guide and tell them what changes you want to make to the original images. A true artist will gladly accept the challenge of creating an individual work.

I was shopping around the Medway area and I found a lot of tattoo artists booked up for 6+ months and we’re also facing staffing issues. A lot of these didn’t want to give you the time of day and asked to book in before listening to what you wanted. I then found Medway tattoo. Quick booking and could accommodate within the month. What a Great experience. listened to every detail I wanted, I was unsure what I actually wanted and I trusted the artist (Paul) to draw and work on the half sleeve I already had from Thailand and match as the ink and shade . A lot of thought and effort has gone onto my sleeve over two day sittings. I am now booked in for my leg shelve. Pics to follow in a week once healed 👌👍

The piercer looks and sounds like she hates her job and doesn’t wanna be here. Attitude stinks. Body language just tells you she’s not interested in being there. Went back to her as piercing got infected, and she put too small of a bar so I needed a larger one, she sent me away because she didn’t have any bigger, I had to go to a different shop to buy one. Such a shame because the tattoo staff and all the other staff, seems so sweet.

I literally enquired and was greeted by the worse definition of a Chav here, she was very rude and very unprofessional. I felt like I had done something wrong by asking questions! Shame because the actual tattooist and apprentice girl seemed nice. However I'm so glad I didn't put a deposit down because first impressions count!

Absolutely horrible boss, artist's are amazing no fault with their work,skill or anything,but was tattooed when the owner came into the shop ,who was degrading towards the artists,and hovered around me whilst I was getting tattooed saying nothing at all making both me and artists uncomfortable. Also the owner takes no care of the shop as it has mold all over and a barely working toilet. Recommended artists but not the shop.

I went in only to ask if they sold any body jewellery as I had just had my nose pierced at Andy Jays down the road, yes they used a gun and I realise now that was a mistake and should have been done with a needle, but when i told the piercer he started to tell me horror stories about how it was going to get infected and get in the blood stream and cause damage. He was really rude and honestly scared the crap out of me and my friend. I certainly won't be going back there ever.

Only went in to get my nose stud changed and found the piercer to be extremely rude and spoke to me like a child. Also charged five pounds to change a stud which took all of 2 seconds. Will never ever visit this place again; left feeling angry and upset. Customer service... what customer service? Do not recommend!

Will never ever visit this place again; left feeling angry and upset. Customer service... what customer service? Do not recommend!

I was shopping around the Medway area and I found a lot of tattoo artists booked up for 6+ months and we’re also facing staffing issues. A lot of these didn’t want to give you the time of day and asked to book in before listening to what you wanted. I then found Medway tattoo. Quick booking and could accommodate within the month. What a Great experience. listened to every detail I wanted, I was unsure what I actually wanted and I trusted the artist (Paul) to draw and work on the half sleeve I already had from Thailand and match as the ink and shade . A lot of thought and effort has gone onto my sleeve over two day sittings. I am now booked in for my leg shelve. Pics to follow in a week once healed 👌👍

The piercer looks and sounds like she hates her job and doesn’t wanna be here. Attitude stinks. Body language just tells you she’s not interested in being there. Went back to her as piercing got infected, and she put too small of a bar so I needed a larger one, she sent me away because she didn’t have any bigger, I had to go to a different shop to buy one. Such a shame because the tattoo staff and all the other staff, seems so sweet.

I literally enquired and was greeted by the worse definition of a Chav here, she was very rude and very unprofessional. I felt like I had done something wrong by asking questions! Shame because the actual tattooist and apprentice girl seemed nice. However I'm so glad I didn't put a deposit down because first impressions count!

Absolutely horrible boss, artist's are amazing no fault with their work,skill or anything,but was tattooed when the owner came into the shop ,who was degrading towards the artists,and hovered around me whilst I was getting tattooed saying nothing at all making both me and artists uncomfortable. Also the owner takes no care of the shop as it has mold all over and a barely working toilet. Recommended artists but not the shop.

I went in only to ask if they sold any body jewellery as I had just had my nose pierced at Andy Jays down the road, yes they used a gun and I realise now that was a mistake and should have been done with a needle, but when i told the piercer he started to tell me horror stories about how it was going to get infected and get in the blood stream and cause damage. He was really rude and honestly scared the crap out of me and my friend. I certainly won't be going back there ever.
